Sightseeing

Temple of Apollo and Miletus

Just a short 4 KM Dolmus (public minibus service) ride away in the town of Didim stands the famous 'Temple of Apollo'. You can walk around the magnificent columns that were erected almost 3000 years ago. See the snake-adorned head of Medusa as you enter the temple ruins. Another great example of the ancient world is at Miletus - 20 KM from Altinkum.

Pamukkale

Pamukkale which means 'Cotton Castle' is famous for its calcium terraces which incredibly really do like they are made from white cotton!

The beautiful natural phenomenon has limestone valleys and freshwater pools that shimmer in the sunlight.

Ephesus

Home of the temple built for the goddess Artemis, Ephesus is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. It is not surprisingly that Ephesus is the most visited tourist attraction in Turkey.

You can visit the ancient city's roads, ampitheatre, library, houses, baths, agoras, stadium and much more.
